Salon Policies and Procedures

As we are a small business that relies on commitment and consistency, effective of 1/12/22 we are implementing mandatory Booking Fees for all appointments at Hair House Boutique Bendigo.


Booking Fees

  1. All new clients will be required to pay a booking fee at the time of booking.

  2. All existing clients will be required to pay a booking fee seven days prior to their booking.

  3. Appointments with unpaid booking fees will be cancelled without further notice.

  4. The booking fee will be deducted from the final total cost of the service on the day of the appointment and will only be refunded in accordance with our salon policies, which is outlined below.

  5. All online bookings will also require a booking fee to secure the booking.


Confirmation Text Messages

  1. Text messages are sent four days prior to your appointment, please reply a simple “yes” to confirm “no” to cancel or call the salon on 5441 7999, to reschedule your appointment. Please do not reply with any personal messages. It is an automated system.

  2. If we do not get a response within 24 hours of your initial message, a second confirmation message will be sent three days prior. Failure to respond by the end of that day, we will attempt a phone call to confirm.

  3. If we cannot still get in contact 48 hours before your appointment, your booking may be cancelled, and your booking fee will be forfeited.

  4. Tuesday appointments will have a confirmation message sent five days prior. Failure to respond will result in a phone call confirmation on Saturday before end of salon hours to confirm the appointment. Failure to confirm may result in the appointment being cancelled and your booking fee will be forfeited.


Rescheduling Your Appointment

10. If you need to reschedule, let us know no later than 48 hours before your appointment and you will be able to rebook your appointment to another time, your Booking Fee will be transferred to your new appointment.

Cancellations and No Shows

  1. If you:

  1. Cancel within 48hours of; or

  2. Do not show up to; or

  3. Arrive late by 15minutes or more to your appointment, your booking fee will be forfeited.

  1. Scheduled appointments can be cancelled if more than 48 hours’ notice is given by contacting the salon during business hours, via phone on 5441 7999. Leave a message if there is no answer, or email us at info@hairhouseboutiquebendigo.com.au

13. Scheduled appointments cannot be cancelled on arrival of appointment. If this is done, your booking fee will be forfeited.

COVID - 19 POLICIES - Sick/ Isolating

  1. If you are sick with ANY cold and flu like symptoms lease reschedule your appointment immediately.
    If you turn up to your appointment unwell you may be asked to leave and reschedule your appointment. Your booking fee will be forfeited.

Parking

  1. Please make yourself familiar with our salon location if you have not been before.

You will find us at 126 Queen Street, Bendigo. Next door to Sexton Chiropractic.

  1. To ensure all clients are not given a parking fine, please note parking restrictions do apply. There is parking on the adjacent streets with some 4hr parking or all-day parking. Parking at the back of salon is limited and is reserved for staff only.


Refunds

  1. For cancellations only, the booking fee may be refunded if more than 48 hours’ notice is given to the salon.

  2. We will not offer a refund if you simply change your mind about the service received or product purchased.


Maintaining Records

  1. Our salon is committed about the privacy and confidentiality of personal and sensitive information. We ensure legal compliance by handling, protecting, and maintaining the security of information acquired from you.

  2. We are not responsible for the collection, distribution, and handling of your personal and sensitive information by anyone who is not employed by our salon.

  3. It is your responsibility to notify us of changes regarding personal contact details.

  4. If a clause applies that obliges you to pay, you must do so immediately.


Guarantees

  1. Our highly trained technicians provide professional results using the finest products available. Hair House Boutique Bendigo cannot guarantee lasting results unless you are using recommended home care products purchased from Hair House Boutique Bendigo or if you swim regularly.

  2. As per the Small Business and the Competition and Consumer Act, any problems with your service must be reported within one (1) week of the original service by phone call or in person. As per the Small Business and the Competition and Consumer Act, Hair House Boutique Bendigo will then fix the service or replace the product at no charge, within one (1) week of the report of the fault.


Prices and Quotes

  1. All prices include GST. All prices are subject to variation without notice.

  2. To obtain a quote, please schedule a free consultation at Hair House Boutique Bendigo.


Occupational Health and Safety

  1. Due to Victoria’s strict OH&S laws, all children under the age of 18 that are not receiving a service must remain seated on the front chairs or at a station and are not permitted to be on the salon floor. We work with hazardous chemicals, sharp and very hot tools, your child’s safety is important to us, and it should be to you too.

  2. We ask that children under the age of 18 are always accompanied in the salon by adults and carefully monitored.

  3. Be advised that personal items are your responsibility, and the salon will not be held liable for any personal items that are lost or damaged.
